Easton to Trenton
Easton, Pennsylvania is where the Lehigh River, flowing from west to east, joins the Delaware. Below Easton, the river is scenic and filled with historic sites. Canals and towpaths line both sides of the river, allowing easy access. There are many historic bridges across the river, including the span where Washington crossed the Delaware in 1776. At Trenton, the river becomes industrialized but still has many recreational opportunities.
