The Delaware Canal State Park is a 830-acre Pennsylvania state park in Bucks and Northampton Counties in Pennsylvania in the United States. It preserves the historic Delaware Canal, which was built in the 1830s to transport coal, iron, and other goods from the Lehigh Valley to Philadelphia and New York. The Canal state park extends along 59 miles of the canal on the Pennsyvania side, starting at Easton and following the river downstream past Trenton to Bristol, PA. The Friends of the Canal Locktender’s House is at mile 24 of the canal, about half way between Easton and Bristol.
