Shehawken PA Access Area

At river mile 0.6 of the West Branch of the Delaware, the Pennsylvania Fish Commission operates a public access boat ramp. The river here is within the Upper Delaware National Scenic and Recreational River. Located on the West Branch Delaware River, a full service access area is provided by the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commision (PFBC). Parking, boat ramp, mooring, docking, trash disposal and portable restrooms are available for public use. All boats must bear a valid Pennsylvania boat registration.

The northern terminus of the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River is located nearby, on the southwestern side of Point Mountain, near Sparrowbush, NY. This is the point where the Delaware River leaves the Catskill Mountains and enters the rolling hills of the Delaware River Valley. The northern terminus is also the starting point of the Upper Delaware Scenic Byway, a 70-mile route that follows the river along scenic roads and historic towns The next access point downstream is .4 miles at the Hancock Access Area. The next access point upstream is at Balls Eddy on the West Branch.
