Frankford Boat Launch

River Access Point

blank dot

At the confluence of the Frankford Creek and the Delaware River, this dock is open for boating, fishing and hosting a picnic along the water. Getting there can be a little complicated. The ramp is located in the 5600 block of Tacony St. in Philadelphia. There is no fee for using the boat ramp. The Frankford Boat Launch is one of Philadelphia’s three public boat launches.

The park is situated at the southern trailhead of the K&T segment of the East Coast Greenway. It serves as a convenient and free access point for motorized and non-motorized watercraft on the Delaware. The K&T Trail, also known as the Kensington & Tacony Trail for the former railroad line on which is runs, spans a mile along the Delaware River in Philadelphia. It begins at the Frankford Arsenal Boat Launch and heads northeast to the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge. The paved pathway offers up-close views of the river and connects the Wissinoming and Tacony neighborhoods.
