Arrow Island Overlook
National Park Service Site
The gap was once a popular destination for vacationers in the early 1900s, and along the trail to the Arrow Island Overlook, the foundation of a casino and resort that used to be there is visible. The rocky cliff face high above the trail is also a perfect habitat for peregrine falcons, and the trail may close from spring to early August due to nesting falcons. The overlook is part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The 70,000-acre park follows 40 miles of the Middle Delaware National Scenic and Recreational River through the Delaware Water Gap.
