Licking Creek Aqueduct Hiker Biker Campsite
Canal Campsite

At canal milepost 116, the Licking Creek Hiker Biker campsite is one of numerous facilities in the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park devoted to hike-in or bike-in camping. These facilities provide primitive campsites, drinking water, and toilets. The nearby Licking Creek Aqueduct is one of nine stone aqueducts built to carry the C&O Canal over tributaries of the Potomac. It is a single 90-foot span across Licking Creek constructed from 1835 to 1839.
