Rock Run

Maryland Tributary

The Rock Run watershed includes several parks in Montgomery County, Maryland. The 5.3-mile long stream runs through the village of Potomac. Montgomery County Parks manages a stream valley park that follows the Rock Run Stream along the western and southern edge of the Avenel Golf Course. It then widens as it passes to the north of the Carderock and Palisades neighborhoods, tapering again along the eastern edge of the Naval Surface Warfare Center to the C&O Canal.
