Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow is a village in the town of Mount Pleasant in Westchester County, New York. It is located on the eastern bank of the Hudson River, about 30 miles north of midtown Manhattan in New York City. Sleepy Hollow is known for its rich history and beautiful scenery. It is home to several historic landmarks, including the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery and the Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow. It'ss known as the setting of Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." The author is buried in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Kykuit, the Rockefeller family's opulent hilltop estate, has gardens with 20th-century sculptures. Northeast, vast Rockefeller State Park Preserve includes a network of carriage roads traversing woodlands, fields and streams.
