Nutten Hook at Stuyvesant Boat Launch
Canoe/Kayak Access
Nutten Hook is a public canoe/kayak access area located in Stuyvesant, New York. It is part of the Hudson River Islands State Park and is considered an important spawning and/or nursery ground for a variety of freshwater fish species. The beach at Nutten Hook State Unique Area is popular or sunbathing or launching a canoe or kayak. The site of the former R&W Scott Ice Company in Stuyvesant is designated as Nutten Hook State Unique Area. The ferry landing at Nutten Hook is located on the east side of the Hudson River, in the town of Stuyvesant, a few miles north of the city of Hudson, NY. It is in the Stockport Flats area of the Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve and managed by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. There are hand-carried boat launches on Ferry Road and Ice House Road.
