Madison Street Fishing Pier
Canoe/Kayak Access
The Madison Street Fishing Pier is a unique pier located in Troy, New York. It is cantilevered out over the Hudson River and has cutouts in the railing so that those with special needs can also fish. The pier was funded by a grant from the New York Department of State Division of Coastal Resources. The pier was officially opened on May 4th, 2010 and has been used for fishing tournaments since then. The $60,000 project, funded by the city and state Department of State, is part of an overhaul of the city's riverfront that includes improved boat access, upgrades to the riverfront park and redevelopment of the City Hall site at 1 Monument Square.
