Western Maryland Railway 8th Crossing

River Crossing

This short crossing (328 feet) by the Western Maryland Railway crosses the Potomac in Cumberland near a short tunnel known as the "Welton Tunnel." The railroad crossed from Maryland into Virginia near Cumberland, but was abandoned in January 1976.
