Fort Frederick State Park has a campground with a path accessible for non-motorized boats at the Potomac near the C&O Canal's Big Pool. There are 5 parking spaces. From Interstate 70, take Exit 12, Md. Route 56, east to Fort Frederick State Park and 1st right after the railroad tracks.
