Seneca Creek State Park
Maryland State Park

A 6,200-acre state park in Montgomery County follows Great Seneca Creek from its headwaters north of Gaithersburg to its confluence with the Potomac River at the town of Seneca. The park includes several hundred acres of undeveloped land between the Canal and River Road above Seneca. The developed day-use section of the park is located near Gaithersburg, Md., and includes a 90-acre lake, reservable and non-reservable picnic areas, and playground facilities. Activities include hiking, fishing, boat rentals, and interpretive programs, and a disc golf course.
