Sycamore Island Club

Maryland Recreation Site

Adjacent to the C&O Canal just below Glen Echo is the Sycamore Island Club, a private community organization serving family members since the 1880s. Club members have access to picnic areas, fishing, canoeing, and swimming in the Potomac. They can reach the island by boat or a hand-drawn ferry. The club has a rustic clubhouse and storage area for members' canoes.
