Columbia Island Marina

Marina

Photo of Columbia Island Marina

Columbia Island Marina offers amenities to Potomac fishermen ranging from bait to refreshments. It is open every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fishing is best at the entrance to the lagoon, where underwater plants offer shelter for bass. The marina caters to powerboats from 15 to 50 feet, with 384 slips on floating and non-floating docks in a lagoon just north of National Airport. The docks have gasoline, storage, a launching ramp, and other facilities. No living is allowed onboard docked boats. The marina is home of the National Potomac Yacht Club, an association of boaters from Columbia Island Marina and other nearby areas. The fee for using the boat launching ramp is $8 to $10, but there is no launch fee for kayaks.
