Gravelley Point and Roaches Run
River Access Point
On the northbound side of the parkway, Gravelly Point offers a large parking area and panoramic views of the Potomac, Washington, and National Airport. It is a popular spot for watching planes landing and taking off from the airport, and popular for bank fishing as well. The parking area is accessible from the northbound lanes of the George Washington Memorial Parkway between the airport and the 14th St. Bridge. The parking area leads to a boat ramp for small boats. It is frequently crowded on warm summer weekends.
