Occoquan Regional Park
Virginia Regional Park
A facility of the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority is located along the northern shoreline of Occoquan River diagonally across from the town of Occoquan. The 400-acre park has group picnic facilities, a boat launching ramp, and a large boat storage lot. The marina building has a snack bar, bait, and tackle. The park also has a popular batting cage for automatic baseball practice. Group picnic areas must be reserved in advance. The park features a number of fields for soccer, softball, and baseball. Historic brick kilns are on the property, which was once a prison farm where women suffragists were imprisoned after demonstrating in front of the White House.
Occoquan Regional Park is part of the "Find Your Chesapeake" project of the National Park Service and the Chesapeake Conservancy. Click here for details.
