Mattingly Park Boat Ramp

The boat ramp is maintained by the Town of Indian Head and is part of the Mattingly Park. It is popular with bass boaters and small boat owners. The boat ramp has restrooms, picnic tables, and trails. Parking is available for 15 vehicles. Fee is $5 at ramp-side honor box. The site is an access point for a kayak trail south along the Mattawoman Creek to Smallwood State Park, approximately 4.5 miles. The Atlantic Kayak Company rents kayaks nearby with tours of Mattawoman Creek and the Ghost Fleet of Mallows Bay.
