Quantico Creek runs 13.7 miles through eastern Prince William County, Virginia. It flows through the Prince William Forest park and meets the Potomac near Possum Point. The watershed is also home to the town ofs of Dumfries and Quantico and the Marine Corps Base Quantico. The creek was the site of several mills built in the 1700s, but became filled with silt after the introduction of tobacco and other crops. In the mid-19th century, a gold mine operated along the creek near its headwaters.
