Donaldson Run

Virginia Tributary

Donaldson Run is a short tributary of the Potomac in Arlington, Virginia. The drainage area of the creek is highly urbanized, but the land south of the creek has preserved as Potomac Overlook Regional Park. There is a hiking trail through the Donaldson Run Nature ares down to the Potomac River and the Potomac Heritage Trail along the river in George Washington Memorial Parkway. The creek drops 30 feet before it reaches the Potomac and includes a number of rapids and small waterfalls.
