Carpendale Trail

Biking Trail

This is a short (.8 mile) gravel trail near Western Maryland Railway 9th crossing. It connects directly to the C&O Canal towpath near mile 183 in Cumberland. The trail is also known as the Knobley Tunnel Trail. The 1500-foot tunnel has lights for bicyclists. The trail also features a wooden bridge across the North Branch.
