Thomas Shepherd Inn

The Thomas Shepherd Inn is located one mile off the C&O Canal Towpath, five miles from Antietam National Battlefield, and 12 miles from Historic Harpers Ferry. Under new ownership, the inn was renovated in 2020 and reopened in 2021. The renovations showcase the historic doors and windows, trim and crown moldings, hardwood floors, curved banister and wide hallways of a bygone era. The building dates back to 1868 and was established as the Thomas Shepherd Inn in 1984 by local residents
