Potomac River Sailing Association
Recreation Group
Founded in 1935, the Potomac River Sailing Association focuses on small-boat sailing on the Potomac River. The group holds more than 40 days of one-design sailboat racing every year, along with weekday evening races and clinics. The club sails from the Washington Sailing Marina on a course between Hains Point and Reagan National Airport, or southward toward Old Town Alexandria. PRSA events can be seen on the river year-round, including an active "Frostbite Regatta" that draws dozens of boats every January.
