Coppermine Trail, NJ
National Park Service Site
The Coppermine Trail is a 4-mile trail that climbs steadily up toward the Kittatinny Ridge, past two old copper mines. It passes through a hemlock ravine and a mixed hardwood forest. It also parallels a stream with modest cascades. The trail is part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. which offers over 150 miles of trails of various difficulty levels. The park also offers year-round recreation such as hiking, paddling, fishing, and hunting. The 70,000-acre park follows 40 miles of the Middle Delaware National Scenic and Recreational River through the Delaware Water Gap.
