Lyme-East Thetford Road Bridge
Connecticut River Bridge
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) closed the East Thetford Road, Lyme, NH/VT Route 113 bridge over the Connecticut River on Thursday, April 27, 2023 to begin rehabilitation work. The bridge is expected to be reopened in October 2024.
The project rehabilitates the existing State Red List bridge that carries East Thetford Road over the Connecticut River between the Towns of Lyme, NH and Thetford, VT. The existing bridge was built in 1937 and is a two-span steel high Parker truss with equal spans of approximately 232-feet. The bridge is currently posted for a reduced weight limit of 15-tons.
