In recent years, the Vermont River Conservancy has played an important role in conserving riparian resources and creating new public access points and primitive camping facilities for paddlers along the northern section of the Connecticut River, as well as taking a leadership role in coordinating the further development of the Paddlers' Trail. The organizations efforts helped establish a paddler campsite at Lyman Falls, Holbrook Point, Bloomfield, and South Guildhall, a public access at Debanville Landing in Bloomfield, and a formal portage and take-out at Wyoming Dam, in Guildhall. VRC serves as the fiscal sponsor for the paddlers trail.

This site is part of the Connecticut River Paddlers Trail, which includes campsites, access points, and portage trails along the river.
