Canoe/Kayak Access

blank dot

Steep bank provides limited public access point across conserved land. Knoxland Farm provides a public boat launch site for muscle powered cartop boats such as canoes and kayaks.

The Upper Valley Land Trust works to protect the working farms, forested ridges, wildlife habitat, water resources, trails, and scenic landscapes of the Upper Connecticut River, including riparian habitat along the 85 miles stretch of river between Ryegate, Vermont, and Charlestown, New Hampshire. In the early 1990s, the Upper Valley Land Trust was instrumental in the establishment of a series of campsites along the Connecticut River. Their management and monitoring protocols serve as the model for river stewardship.

This site is part of the Connecticut River Paddlers Trail, which includes campsites, access points, and portage trails along the river.
