Littleton-Waterford Bridge
Connecticut River Bridge
The Littleton-Waterford Bridge is an historic crossing of the Connecticut River. The bridge was constructed in 1923, replacing an earlier bridge that was destroyed by a flood in 1922. Tragically, in June 2022, a vehicle veered off the bridge and plunged into the Connecticut River, resulting in a fatality. The bridge, located downstream of the Interstate 93 bridge, carries Route 18 from Littleton, NH to Waterford, VT and provides access to the Waterford Boat Ramp on the Vermont side. The State of New Hampshire is considering alternatives for the aging bridge, including turning it into a pedestrian path.
