Connecticut River Bridge
The US 302 Bridge, officially known as the Veterans Memorial Bridge, is a significant landmark in Woodsville, New Hampshire. This three-hinged steel arch truss bridge spans the Connecticut River, connecting Woodsville with Wells River, Vermont. The bridge was constructed in 1923, replacing a previous bridge from 1917 that was undermined by a flood in 1922. As the oldest steel arch bridge over the Connecticut River, it holds historical significance and adds to the charm of the region.
