The Poplar Street kayak access on the Connecticut River in Montague, Massachusetts, is a part of the Connecticut River Paddlers Trail. This access point is known for its steep and eroding access, making it a bit challenging for some to use. Despite this, it serves as a put-in below the Turner’s Falls Dam. The parking area is well-maintained, making it convenient for visitors. However, due to the steep nature of the access, some paddlers prefer to use the Deerfield River Launch instead. Please remember to check the latest updates before planning your visit as conditions can change.

This site is part of the Connecticut River Paddlers Trail, which includes campsites, access points, and portage trails along the river.
