Windsor Locks Canal State Park
Connecticut State Park
Windsor Locks Canal State Park is a public recreation area that parallels the Connecticut River for 4.5 miles between Suffield and Windsor Locks, Connecticut. The park is located on the historic towpath of the Enfield Falls Canal. Today, the modern paved surface covers the original dirt towpath. The park is popular for fishing, hiking, and biking. The canal’s many vantage points offer scenic vistas of both the Connecticut River and the old canal. This historic remnant of Connecticut’s commercial and industrial past has become a significant spot for the recreating public.
