Charter Oak Landing is a beautiful park located at 50 Reserve Road, just south of downtown Hartford, Connecticut. This park is home to a pair of nesting eagles and features an excursion boat dock and a public boat launch. It also provides access to the Charter Oak Bridge pedestrian walkway, linking to Great River Park. The park is equipped with a playground, picnic tables, paved and lighted walkways, bike racks, and charcoal grills. It’s a popular spot for fishing and is accessible via CTtransit (Route 59). The park offers stunning views of the Connecticut River and is a favorite among locals and tourists alike.

This site is part of the Connecticut River Paddlers Trail, which includes campsites, access points, and portage trails along the river.
