This area includes the Keeney Cove Marsh State Wildlife Area, Hockanum Meadow, Richard Strong Open Space, and the South Meadows Greenway Trail. The area is known for its unique geographic features and natural beauty. It offers a flat, often muddy, out-and-back walk along the Connecticut River, with a variety of landscapes to explore.
