Salmon River Boat Ramp
Boat Ramp
The Salmon River Boat Launch is located at the mouth of the Salmon River off Route 149, about 1.5 miles north of the junction with Route 82 in East Haddam, Connecticut. It’s a trailered launch that’s open year-round, featuring a concrete slab ramp with a dock and a parking area for up to 60 vehicles. It also has seasonal floating wood docks and chemical toilets. However, access can be flooded during the spring months. This launch provides access to both the Salmon River and the Connecticut River, and is suitable for launching small to medium-sized boats. All watercraft must comply with state and federal regulations, including proper registration, safety equipment, and boater education requirements.
This site is part of the Connecticut River Paddlers Trail, which includes campsites, access points, and portage trails along the river.
