Daingerfield Island

At the junction of Four Mile Run and the Potomac, Daingerfield Island hosts sailing, fishing, and field sports, along with a popular restaurant. The 106-acre site is no longer an island, and is easily accessible from the George Washington Memorial Parkway or the Mount Vernon Bike Trail.

The Potomac River Sailing Association operates a variety of events and classes for sailors at the Washington Sailing Marina. Access to Daingerfield Island is from the George Washington Parkway either northbound or southbound.
